Hey, Macarena

Some Lists.

1. I'm getting kind of mad that everyone is just now catching on to Jamie Oliver because of his 'Food Revolution'. I've been obsessed with this man since The Naked Chef and been trying to land a job/internship/janitorial position with his company since the land before time. However, I'm also kind of excited that people are starting to pay attention to him and his mission, because I completely support what he's trying to do. I've mentioned before this is a cause quite dear to me. If you haven't signed the petition yet, which involves improving nutrition and food at school for American children, get to it: CLICK HERE, YOU HEALTHY MOFO

2. Last night my hair was still wet and I had the sudden urge for wavy hair. Yeahhh wavy hair! Naturally, I braided my hair into a long Laura Ingalls Wilder plait, as she is my true style icon. Man, why aren't braids cool anymore. Like, two long braids.

Check out this model's wavy hair:

So pretty.

3. Why am I having such a hard time finding someone to hang out with me in 90-degree weather tomorrow afternoon? I wish they had a friend-pimping service and I could pay for a friend by the hour. I'd pay up to $2 an hour for a new friend and up to $1 an hour for a new friend with benefits. And I don't mean health insurance.

What is that? German for "fucking clueless'?

My pants are too tight.

Many of my friends from college are in town this month and so far it has been both exhilarating and exhausting. Exhilarating to be able to spend time and catch up with old friends; exhausting because my grown ass self can't seem to keep up with the old college ways of partying and staying up till 5 every night and then dragging myself to work in the early morn. What a weiner I am.

On another note, lately I can't decide which I should do less of: reckless dating or reckless drinking. My womanly intuition is leaning towards probably dabbling less in both activities.

Right now I'm playing this game where my spellcheck picks up a misspelled word, instead of letting it do the work, I correct it myself. Gotta keep my mindsicles fresh!

In current events, a morning newspaper I saw on the train today had the words "BERN IN HELL" splashed all over the front page. Yikes.

Going back to my pants being too tight . . . remember when I was so fit and healthy this summer that I was actually glowing? Yeahhh, I miss that. Apparently, if you stop counting calories, don't eat at home almost every day, pick up a drinking habit, skip meals due to stress and crazed schedules, quit weekly dance and yoga classes, don't work out in the mornings and take your vitamins, your body will not look that great. Who knew, right? I mentioned to Bridget that once spring picks up here in the city, I would like to spend every Saturday afternoon doing something active! However, that's not going to cut it for me. I want to be tight, like toiiightt; ripped (like Jesus) and so on. That takes a lot of f-in work so I'll let you know when I find my motivation.

And, here is the division of my mind this morning:

30% is focusing on work and tasks I need to complete
10% is brainstorming about an idea for a sitcom pilot I should write
15% is thinking about ways I can boost my energy after work in order to have the stamina for Bridget's party tonight
20% is practicing my vowels and breathing while I sing in my head voice around the office
5% is wondering how I can look a little darker without having to sell my soul to a tanning salon
3% is wondering if I bother drinking tonight, should I drink wine or beer
1% of me just remembered the blueberry stoli I never drank last week
1% is really overwhelmed by how much reading I have to do
5% is fantasizing about sleeping on the grass outside of Wells Hall in the springtime, listening to the babbling Red Cedar
10% is dreaming of lunchtime and my leftover raspberry balsamic chicken and almond encrusted green beans
That reminds me: I need to clean the bathroom and the stove. And make those brownies. I am Martha Stewart.

Sorry, I have nothing witty or interesting to say today. Tough titty, as Sharriese would say.

Leave me some ideas of fun things to do in California while my friends are working during the day. Note: I have never been there.

Buenos tardes, y'all.
